Observing 2022 French presidential elections in Paris

Together with members of the Slovak Hungarian Youth Association (SZMISZ), we participated in the observation of the French presidential elections in Paris.

We participated in the study trip with 15 youth organizations belonging to the European People's Party family. The program was very interesting, we participated in educational workshops where we analyzed politics in France, election campaign strategies and the French election itself.

We visited the French Parliament, where we could meet members of the French parliament and discuss French and European politics with them. We were also able to experience the French campaign in persons when we also visited the headquarters of the campaigns of the French presidential candidates, including Macron. We also met with the foreign relations secretary of the European People's Party, Patrick Voller, whose wife is Hungarian and speaks Hungarian fluently. He said he really hopes that the Hungarians in Slovakia will return to the Slovak and EU parliaments.
